about us Club objetives:To open up a physical and virtual sphere to carry out social and cultural activities conducted in English. To offer those concerned a place for extensive practice of the language. To offer native speakers of English a place for social and cultural interaction. “ Britons, the Club” is an original project of María Viviana Matta, inspired by her wish to convey a certain way of thinking reflected by the English language. This aim is based on her wonder at discovering a whole new world when residing in the UK, and supported by her linguistic background, her love for the English language and her recent lexicographical work. This first project was then developed into a virtual house, representing a club. We feel very grateful to Patricia Brousse and Brugal for all their support and the lovely design they gave to our house. The club is coordinated by its director, Vivian, together with the invaluable help of Silvina Guerrero, the club’s assistant, and Daniel Aguirre, who helps us keep everything under control. But it’s by the constant support and ideas of its members that it’s been able to grow and will hopefully keep on doing so. There is an inital group of founding members and also an ever growing number of new members interested in making the most of and contributing to this experience. We hope to count you among them soon. As for March 2005, and as part of Britons special projects, the club also caters for companies, Cepas Argentinas (Gancia) being one of our customers.
